Pulpit restoration | St Patrick's Church, Edinburgh

With origins dating back to around 1856, this stunning pulpit was once the centrepiece of St Patrick's Church, Edinburgh. The opportunity to restore it back to its former glory was both an honour and a privilege.

When we first saw the pulpit stored away in the back of the church garage, it had been broken into three separate pieces and in desperate need of saving. This made the restoration project as challenging as it was fascinating.

We carefully transported it back to the studio and began forensically inspecting the task in hand.

By replacing old mouldings, reviving beautiful oak panels and redesigning and replacing steps we breathed new life into this iconic piece of church history. It's now back in the heart of the church, ready to be enjoyed for many years to come.
