Bespoke Hall Table | Changing Direction

This bespoke handmade hall table marks both a creative milestone and a personal one. Reflecting my journey from a career as an Advertising Creative to becoming a full-time fine furniture maker in East Lothian, Scotland.

Crafted by hand from rich American walnut and Scottish ash, this piece features two push-to-open drawers and a striking chevron veneer pattern across the front. As light shifts, the hand-cut veneers catch the grain of the wood differently, giving the impression that the piece itself is changing direction.

This custom hall table is a quiet nod to the idea that growth often comes through redirection.

The contrast between the dark walnut and the pale ash brings balance and clarity. Materials in conversation, each enhancing the other.
